Dr. Laura Meaney

Dr. Laura Meaney, DNAP, PMHNP-BC, CRNA

SOUL Psychedelic Systems, Inc., Bend, Oregon

Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist

Specializing in concierge ketamine infusions for chronic pain, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, bereavement, postpartum depression, and pain from cancer, neurological pain, and CRPS.

Dr. Laura Meaney grew up in South Dakota, where she attended University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University, and Mount Marty University School of Nurse Anesthesia on her journey towards obtaining her master’s degree in nursing anesthesia. She practiced as a CRNA for 21 years before she obtained her DNAP (doctorate in nurse anesthesia practice). Her focused research was in ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant depression. She taught online during the pandemic in 2020-2021, at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. During this time, she taught the DNAP program and nurse anesthetist skills in the largest sim-lab for nurse anesthesia in the country.

After seeing the toll that the coronavirus pandemic was taking on mental health, she decided to further her career along the path of psychiatry. In May 2022, she became a psychiatric nurse practitioner of mental health, with an emphasis on ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). For the past two years, she provided ketamine infusions at her own practice in Phoenix, Arizona. While there, she witnessed ketamine’s amazing impact on clients afflicted with depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, pain, migraine, and other diagnoses. It has become her passion to share the benefits of ketamine with those suffering from pain, whether it be mental, emotional, or physical. She believes that therapy paired with ketamine can significantly improve the human condition.

Dr. Laura Meaney is uniquely qualified to provide ketamine therapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy because of her history as a ketamine provider.  In her anesthesia practice, her expanded knowledge of pharmacology in the anesthesia and psychiatric realms, and her extended specialized training in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy make her treatments very effective . In the emerging science of psychedelic therapy, very few providers have received and practiced the specialized training that Dr Meaney has acquired.

She is in the process of moving her practice to the Bend, Oregon area and open and available for appointments in November 2023. She will be providing concierge ketamine treatment, ketamine assisted psychotherapy, and ketamine breath work.  Ketamine for hospice patients coming in the spring of 2024.
